Visual Instructions for Origami Hearts

Learning how to make origami hearts is a great first project for the novice paper folder. With just a few simple folds, you can create a beautiful heart that is sure to please your family and friends.

To begin, place your square origami paper face down. Fold the paper from corner to corner to form a triangle. Unfold the paper, then repeat in the other direction. When the paper is unfolded again, it will be divided into four triangular sections.

Fold the top corner to the center where the creases meet.

Bring the bottom corner to the top edge of the paper.

Fold the left side up at an angle to the middle crease. Repeat with the right side, taking care to make your creases as sharp as possible.

Flip the paper over. Fold the two top corners and the two side corners to the back.

Flip the paper over again to reveal your completed origami heart. Use it as a Valentine's Day decoration or as an embellishment for a handmade greeting card.
